Kumho Tire Supplies ECSTA HS52 for Volkswagen Multivan T7

Kumho Tire announced on the 19th that it will supply its ECSTA HS52 tires as original equipment (OE) for the 7th generation Volkswagen Multivan (T7). The tires will be available in two sizes: 235/55R17 and 235/50R18.

The Volkswagen Multivan, which has been in production since 1949, is one of the longest-running models in Volkswagen’s lineup. The latest T7 model incorporates a range of advanced features, including the latest digital cluster package and wireless charging pad, along with various electrification technologies.

The ECSTA HS52 tires being supplied are designed to suit both sedans and sports vehicles, offering stable driving performance and high safety. The tires feature a solid block design in the tread pattern that maintains consistent pressure during contact with the road surface, reducing impact and noise while enhancing ride comfort.

The ECSTA HS52 has received high praise in the automotive industry, ranking 3rd and 4th overall in summer tire performance tests conducted by the German automotive magazines ‘ADAC’ and ‘Auto Bild’ respectively, making it one of the top-rated products among domestic tire manufacturers.

In-Soo Kim, Executive Vice President of OE Sales at Kumho Tire, stated, “Supplying OE tires for the Volkswagen Multivan T7 is highly significant. Kumho Tire continues to strengthen its partnership with Volkswagen, following previous supplies for the Taos, Jetta, and ID.4 models.”
